Morrow: Stars Going Down To The Wire
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Have you ever seen such a tight race in your life? My goodness - one point in the standings separates us in the division lead with three other teams. This should go down to the wire! We have nine games left – all of them are big!
The crowds have been great – we had a huge on Friday vs. the Blackhawks. Wish we could have won that one but it was nice to get back in the win column on Tuesday vs. Phoenix.
The annual team picture was taken on Monday before practice. It's been rather easy for me to find my spot on picture day over the last six since the team captain always sits in the center of the front row. I remember my first one in 2000 when I was all the way in the back as a rookie. That seems like eons ago. I'm still impressed at how fast the PR guys get us out there, line us up and boom - it's over. I think the entire thing takes less than five minutes.
What did you do for St. Patrick's Day? I just hung out with my kids and took it easy. This late in the season, you need your rest.
We have two more big home games this week – Vancouver Thursday and Calgary Saturday. Come out and cheer us on! Then it's off to Western Canada again.
