CARROLLTON (CBS11) — The Carrollton Police Department is asking for the public's help in catching suspects responsible for breaking dozens of car windows early Saturday morning with what appears to be a BB-gun.
The vandalism took place on at least 16 different streets and across several Carrollton neighborhoods just north of the George Bush Turnpike. A city spokesperson said Sunday they received 43 reports of broken windows from Friday night into Saturday.
"I hope whoever did this steps forward," Lindsay Gillis said just moments after discovering her driver's side window was shattered overnight. "It's frustrating and it baffles me."
Min Kang said he too is baffled at why someone would do this.
"It's not funny to me," he said, looking at his shattered rear windshield of his SUV. "I have to pay for this."
Like most victims, Kang said he saw nothing.
This is why Carrollton police officers are hoping what neighbors didn't see, a home security camera caught.
Turning to social media, the department Saturday night posted the names of the 16 streets where the vandalism occurred between midnight and 5 a.m. The department is encouraging anyone who lives along one of these streets with a home security camera to give detectives a call at (972) 466-3333:
