More Formal Charges In TCU Campus Drug Case
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Last month more than 20 people were arrested in connection with a drug investigation at TCU. Thursday two of those people were formally charged in the case, bringing the total number of defendants to five.
Together the newest defendants, Bud Pollard Dillard of Fort Worth and William D. Jennings of Dallas, face up to 30 years in prison.

Dillard, 21, is charged with delivery of alprazolam, more than 28 grams but less than 200 grams, possessing less than 28 grams of alprazolam, and possessing a usable quantity of marijuana of two ounces or less.
February arrest warrants show Dillard helped sell an undercover officer 250 Xanax pills for $775 out of a residence in the 3200 block of Waits Ave.
Jennings, 20, is charged with three cases of delivery of marijuana, more than ¼ ounce but less than 5 pounds in a drug free zone and delivery of alprazolam, less than 28 grams, in a drug free zone.
In addition the three marijuana accusations, arrest warrants allege Jennings sold 10 Xanax pills to an undercover police officer on January 26.
On Wednesday the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office filed the first charges related to the case. William Joseph Hoffman, 20, Katherine Petrie, 20, and Jordan Sherman, 22, all face felony charges.
It was a six-month drug investigation that led to the arrest of more than 20 people.
TCU Police Chief Steve McGee said the individuals were considered drug dealers and had sold drugs to undercover officers both on and off campus.

According to the myriad arrest warrants, officers were able to purchase marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy, LSD, oxycontin, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, promethazine/codeine cough syrup and Xanax in the drug sting.
The university has said any student who was arrested and found in violation of distributing drugs could be expelled.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing and additional formal charges are likely to be filed soon.
