Monday Morning Meltdown: Cardinals 28, Cowboys 17

ARLINGTON (105.3 THE FAN) -- That was a tough one. And it's only going to stir up more debate.
For the people who want to battle about how Tony Romo is a franchise quarterback and those who want him out are going to miss him, I say, he's hurt, so what good does that do right now?
Going into this season, we all discussed this over and over again. It never was whether or not his back was healthy, but how long before he got hurt. Here we are in week 9, as I predicted in training camp without Romo, and the team takes its third loss of the season.
They went up against a superior opponent without their No. 1 on offense and one of their lead dogs on defense in Justin Durant, and it didn't look good at all.
Next up: London. If Romo can't go, that stinks and this team has to find a way to win one with Weeden at the helm.
If he can go, good lord protect him. But this team should NOT need Romo to win against Jacksonville.
The Rest of the NFL
-- Peyton Manning has thrown for 400 yards 14 times in his career. That leads the NFL. Tom Brady has defeated him 11 of 16 times. Brady leads the matchup.
-- Things are changing in the NFC East. I know Mark Sanchez threw for 200 yards and 2 TD's, but he also pitched two picks. Give it time, and he'll mess things up for Philly. Meanwhile, Nick Foles is out indefinitely with a broken collarbone. Some offensive linemen got healthy for the Eagles and they found their run game. With LeSean McCoy, I wouldn't expect to see lazy numbers from him anymore as long as the front line stays healthy.
-- RGIII comes back, and the Minnesota rookie Teddy Bridgewater has a seemingly better statistical day. Matt Asiata's three rushing touchdowns in the second half only confirm to me the Cowboys should have stuck with the run late in the game against Washington last Monday and they would be 7-2 right now.
-- What happened to the Chargers? They lost their third straight game and they lost this one badly. The Dolphins ran 74 plays on offense and converted more than half of their third downs. The Chargers on the other hand haven't won a game in South Florida since January 1982 and they've lost 8 straight to Miami.
-- I had a feeling St. Louis was going to be tough to deal with for some teams this year, but that was before Sam Bradford went down. I also didn't think they could squeak out a 13-10 win on the road against San Francisco with Austin Davis only throwing for 105 yards without their top receiver. But, my good buddy Collin Kapernick fumbled. I lol'd when it happened.
Keep and eye on
Jeremy Maclin – Last 2 games, 12-187-2TD and 6-158-2 TD's with a TD catch of more than 50 yards in each game.
Jeremy Hill – in the absence of Giovanni Bernard, 154 yards and 2 TD's. Sure it was against the Jags; but still, a big, strong running back.
