DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - It's that time of the year again! The migration of the Monarch Butterfly!

KRLD Chief Meteorologist Dan Brounoff is fascinated by butterflies, especially the Monarch.

Something very interesting about monarchs and their migration, it takes four generations to make the trek from Canada to Mexico, then back to Canada again.

According to the USDA, Monarchs in Eastern North America will be traveling through Texas to a second home in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico.

Every backyard can become an oasis for monarchs and other pollinators, even in cities.
