DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The Buffalo Bills owned the lead, the football and the momentum to open the second half of Super Bowl XXVIII. But the Dallas Cowboys defense stole all three in an instant.
One minute into the third quarter, Cowboys defensive tackle Leon Lett stripped the ball away from Bills running back Thurman Thomas. Cowboys safety James Washington was there to scoop up the loose football and race 46 yards for a touchdown.
That touchdown tied the game at 13, and ignited 24 unanswered points for the Cowboys on their way to winning Super Bowl XXVIII.
Washington's return stands as the 26th greatest moment in Cowboys history.
