DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Desperate for a franchise quarterback, the Dallas Cowboys found one in a strange place.
Undrafted out of Eastern Illinois University, Tony Romo was given the keys to the team under Bill Parcells in 2006. Romo replaced Drew Bledsoe in the sixth game of that season, leading Dallas to a 9-7 record and a playoff appearance.

While the Cowboys lost that playoff game in heartbreaking fashion, when Romo bobbled the snap of a potential game-winning field goal, Romomania reached fever pitch in 2007. The Cowboys went 13-3 in Romo's first full year as the team's starting quarterback.
Romo has forged together a career that ranks him not only as the most prolific passer in Cowboys history, but he is also currently third in passer rating in NFL history.
