Molested Teenager's Parents Sue Dallas School

DALLAS (AP) - The parents of a student who was 13 when a male teacher began a sexual affair with her have sued a private school in Dallas.

The civil lawsuit filed Monday in Dallas names the Fairhill School.

A 35-year-old former soccer coach and educator pleaded guilty in October to two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child under age 14. A judge then sentenced Matthew Adams to 12 years in prison.

The name of the minor girl, identified as being dyslexic, has not been made public. The lawsuit filed by her parents alleges the school, which specializes in teaching children with learning disabilities, failed to protect the child.

A message left Tuesday for a school administrator was not immediately returned to The Associated Press.
