GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) - Relatives and friends of a Garland family have joined police in their search for a missing girl and now they're asking for your help.
Police are searching for Adrienne Solórzano, who has been missing since late Thursday morning.
According to authorities, the 12-year-old girl had first been reported as a runaway, but after some investigation police determined the girl's disappearance is not "the typical runaway case."
On Thursday Adrienne's father was at Brandenburg Middle School, to meet with one of his daughter's teachers. Once he arrived on campus Adrienne was asked to leave her class and go to the meting with the adults. The young girl left from the room but never showed up for the meeting. Adrienne has not been seen or heard from since exiting that class at around 11:00 a.m. Thursday.
Family members describe Adrienne as a very studious girl who is quiet and polite. Police and those who know the girl agree that this type of situation is out of her character.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts or has seen or heard from Adrienne is asked to contact the Garland Police Department at 972-205-2018.
