Midlothian Officer Shoots, Kills Cedar Hill Bank Robbery Suspect
MIDLOTHIAN (CBSDFW.COM) – A Midlothian police officer shot and killed a bank robbery suspect who turned toward him with a knife during a pursuit Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
The suspect, who has not been identified, robbed a Wells Fargo bank at 375 N. Highway 67 just after 4 p.m. Responding officers caught the suspect driving and gave chase.
The suspect then stopped the vehicle and tried to flee on foot. He turned toward the officer with a knife, and was shot and killed, said Cedar Hill Police Department spokesman Corky Brown.
No one else was injured in the robbery or chase, Brown added.
