FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) - Scoggins Middle School was evacuated Wednesday morning after a fire in the cafeteria involving cleaning equipment, according to principal Barbara Warner.
In a note to parents, Warner explained no students were in any danger but one of the custodians was injured and taken to the hospital.
The fire was put out and the building was deemed safe before lunch time. At that point, teachers and staff were allowed back in the building.
The fire department is working with Frisco ISD staff to determine the cause of the flash fire involving a floor buffer.
