Mesquite Teacher Charged For Improper Relationship with Student

MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) – A teacher from Poteet High School in Mesquite was charged with one count of Improper Relationship Between an Educator and Student.

Deanna Reese, 40, of Forney is accused of having sexual relations with an 18-year-old male student. The offense is alleged to have happened on April 10th.

Today a member of Mesquite ISD administration contacted the school resource officer concerning a tip they had received about the offense.

Investigators interviewed the victim and collected evidence, which resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant with a bond amount of $25,000. Reese was arrested at the school this afternoon.
