Mesquite Police Standoff Ends Peacefully
MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) - Police closed both the east and westbound lanes of Highway 80 at Collins Monday afternoon in Sunnyvale due to a standoff with an armed man.
The man, who police said is suicidal, eventually surrendered. Authorities also speculated that he is mentally ill.
No one was hurt during the incident.
Both lanes of HWY 80 were reopened at the time of this report.
