Mesquite Pizza Hut Robbery Suspects Caught

MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) - Police have arrested two suspects after a robbery at a Pizza Hut restaurant in Mesquite on Monday evening. It happened at around 6:00 p.m. in the 900 block of North Gross Road.
According to the Mesquite Police Department, a white male suspect entered the Pizza Hut holding a propane container and a lighter. The man then demanded money, threatening to ignite the propane tank and blow up the building if the employees did not comply.
The man left the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of cash. He drove away from the location with a white female suspect who had been waiting in the getaway car. That vehicle was later found and stopped by the Balch Springs Police Department.
Authorities arrested 28-year-old Dawson Miles of Frisco and charged him with one count of aggravated robbery and a second count of possession of a controlled substance. His bond is set at $18,500. Law enforcement officials also arrested 24-year-old Amber Vickery of Frisco, and charged her with one count of aggravated robbery. Her bond is set at $15,000. Both suspects are now in the Mesquite jail.
