McKinney Police Suspect Chiropractor Of Abusing Two More Girls

MCKINNEY (CBSDFW.COM) – Court records show that police believe there are at least four young victims of sexual abuse at the hands of a chiropractor, two more than previously reported.

Court documents detail the disturbing allegations involving the accused practitioner and teenaged dance students.

One of the alleged victims is a girl who is currently 13-year-old and a woman who is now 18-years-old, both of whom took dance classes at the Taylor Dance Studio off North Central Expressway.

Police say 42-year-old David Russell taught a stretching class there and treated dance students with injuries at his chiropractic clinic.

That's where court documents say two of the victims were sexually abused during treatment for groin injuries.

They accused Russell of improperly touching them and making lewd suggestive comments.

One of the victims told a detective in the arrest affidavit, "she felt that it wasn't right and it wasn't helping with her injury so she began to make excuses so that David wouldn't try."

No one answered the door at Russell's McKinney home after he posted a $100 thousand bond.

Russell also volunteered his chiropractic services at Lovejoy High School.

The school district says they severed ties when informed of the allegations.
