Mavs Finally Get 2011 Title Rings

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The Dallas Mavericks finally received the championship rings for their first NBA title in franchise history.

The look on owner Mark Cuban's face was one of a man having the best night of his life as a sold-out crowd of loyal Mavs fans showed up early for the presentation ceremony Wednesday night at the American Airlines Center.

Rick Carlisle, who was the first to receive a ring, presented the diamond-encrusted jewels to Nowitzki, Jason Kidd and seven other current players who were on last year's team.

"Wow! Looks good," NBA finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki said after accepting his ring, kissing it and then holding it high over his head for all to see. "Thank you much for coming out. This is a special, special night. It looks like there's only one ring left. Without this man nothing would be possible. He's the greatest owner in sports, he's our man" said Dirk about owner Cuban.

The rings feature the Mavericks logo on top in diamonds with "WORLD" and "CHAMPIONS" engraved above and below the logo. The player's name and jersey number is engraved on one side and engraved on the other is the team's postseason motto, "The Time Is Now."

It has been reported that Cuban paid in excess of $1.4 mil for the rings that included the players and the entire coaching staff. Each ring has an estimated value of $40,000.
