FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Jordan Spieth is back home in North Texas, where in consecutive weeks he will be introduced as the Masters champion to crowds filled with family and friends.

Spieth tees off Thursday at historic Colonial, and then next week at the Byron Nelson Championship, where he twice made the cut as a teenage amateur. The Dallas native says he focuses on the two tournaments like they're major championships.

Spieth tied for 14th at Colonial last year, when Adam Scott beat Jason Dufner in a three-hole playoff to cap his first week as the No. 1-ranked player in the world.

Scott hasn't won on the PGA Tour since and has slipped to No. 11 in the World Golf Ranking. Spieth, at No. 2, is the only top-10 golfer at Colonial.
