Martinez & Mendez Among Four To Be Called Up By Rangers

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Texas Rangers have called up four players for the stretch run.
According to the club, RHP Nick Martinez, C Brett Nicholas, INF Hanser Alberto & intriguing prospect LHP Yohander Mendez will be recalled when rosters expand Friday.
Each club can have as many as 40 players on the big league club, as opposed to the usual 25-man roster teams use throughout the season.
Texas now has 29 players on the roster, and will surely call up several more when Triple-A Round Rock and Double-A Frisco finish their seasons on Labor Day.
