Mark Zuckerberg, Wife Donate $25 Million To Fight Ebola

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla are joining the fight against Ebola.

Zuckerberg announced on his Facebook page that the couple is donating $25 million to the Centers For Disease Control to fight the disease.

The money, says Zuckerberg, will got directly to help frontline responders in an effort to prevent the spread of Ebola and the possibility of it becoming a global epidemic.

"We need to get Ebola under control in the near term so that it doesn't spread further and become a long term global health crisis that we end up fighting for decades at large scale, like HIV or polio," wrote Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg also shares the link to the CDC's Ebola information section and encourages people to learn more about the fight against the disease.
