Mapping Error Allows For Stores To Sell Beer In Dry Area
A mapping error has resulted in two stores in Far North Dallas selling beer and wine in a DRY area.
The Morning News says the problem involves wet/dry lines around Preston and Frankford Roads and bureaucratic mistakes by Dallas and Collin County. The TABC issued the permits although the Walgreens and Tom Thumb shouldn't be allowed to sell beer and wine.
Other retailers in the area aren't happy and neither are people opposed to the November referendum to expand alcohol sales in Dallas.
State officials say whatever the reason for the mistake the two-year permits are valid and the stores can legally sell your favorite brew.
