Man's Body Found Outside Dallas Home
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Dallas are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found in front of a home in the 2800 block of Alabama Street. According to Sgt. Benny Handley with the Dallas Police Department, a witness called authorities after discovering the dead body in the home's front yard at about 3:30 a.m. on Monday morning.
The 19-year-old victim's name has not yet been released. Handley said that he was shot multiple times. Police towed away a dark green pickup truck that is said to belong to the victim.
Authorities have not yet determined a motive in this case, Handley said, but there is nothing to indicate that the crime was drug-related.
The unidentified witness told police that the home belongs to a relative. Handley said that the homeowners were gone when the body was found, but police have contacted those residents.
