Man With Headphones Killed By Train In Garland
GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) -- Garland detectives say a man possibly wearing headphones was struck and killed by a train in Garland late Tuesday night.
Officers responded around 9:00 p.m. to the report of a man struck by a train at Crist Road and Lavon Drive. When they arrived, they found the victim -- identified as 57-year-old Clarence Hodge of Garland -- dead at the scene.
Hodge was believed to have been walking across the railroad tracks when the northbound train struck him. Detectives believe Hodge was unable to hear the train due to the headphones.
