Woman Stabbed To Death At Fort Worth Real Estate Office
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Emergency crews responded to a Fort Worth real estate office Monday evening and found a woman stabbed to death.
The stabbing happened inside the ReMax office in the 4200 block of Heritage Trace Parkway, according to a MedStar spokesperson.
Fort Worth police have not made any arrests or identified any suspect. They are releasing very few details are about the victim or the suspect in the case. Police did confirm the call came in at 4 p.m. at a time when the office complex was still very busy Monday afternoon.
Police initially classified the 911 call as a cutting. But by the time police arrived on scene, that cutting was clearly homicide.
"I don't want to give the impression to the public that this is a stranger crime. This is not a stranger on stranger crime," said Corp. Tracy Knight, FWPD.
Shana Sun works right around the corner from the ReMax real estate business where it happened. She said nothing like it has ever happened around the neighborhood, which is why she bolted the doors and kept watch after hearing about the murder.
"We were trying to make sure our patients or safe," Sun explained. "You know the person doesn't try to come in and hurt somebody else here."
Police told CBS 11 News the victim is in her 40s and was an employee of the ReMax. Even though police said the victim knew her attacker, they aren't calling the incident a domestic violence situation.
They didn't release the name of the person who called 911 or how long it took emergency responders to arrive at the scene.
