Man Shot Inside Fort Worth Business

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A man is dead and another man believed to be his father is on the run following a shooting in Fort Worth Thursday afternoon.

The shooting happened at a business in the 4600 block of White Settlement Road around 3:15.

Witnesses told police a man in his early 60s walked out of Rivers Tree Service and told an employee that he shot the victim. Police would not comment or confirm the relationship, but only said the victim was a white male between the ages of 30-40.  Witnesses tell CBS 11 the victim is believed to be the shooter's son.

Witnesses say following the shooting the suspect drove away in a silver Lincoln Navigator. Around 6:00 p.m. Fort Worth police found the vehicle in the 4900 block of West Vickery Blvd.  The driver, identified as the shooter, had committed suicide.

Police are still investigating the shooting.
