Man Sentenced To 45 Years For Pantego Attack & Robbery
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - 19 year-old Pablo Garcia was sentenced to 45 years in prison Tuesday for his role in an attack on a man and the robbery of at least 20 at a Halloween party in Pantego last year.
Garcia had already pleaded guilty to nine counts of aggravated robbery and one count of burglary of a habitation.
Prosecutors say Garcia and four other suspects, Pedro Dominguez, Jonathan Diaz, David Castro and a juvenile, drove from Fort Worth to a house in Pantego where members of the Arlington School District's gymnastics team were having a Halloween party. There, the suspects allegedly robbed the youths and the parents who were hosting the party.
According to the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office, another parent, who arrived to pick up his son, was beaten by the suspects before they fled in in a stolen vehicle.
Garcia was sentenced to 45 years in prison on each robbery count and 20 years for the burglary charge. The sentences will run concurrently.
Of the other four suspects involved, Dominguez is serving a 99-year sentence, Diaz was sentenced to a 20-year term and the juvenile is serving a 10-year sentence in the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.
The case against Castro is pending.
