Man Killed Trying To Cross I20 Overnight

DALLAS (CBSDFW) - Police are looking for the drivers of two 18 wheelers after they struck and killed a man on IH20 and Camp Wisdom Road at around 11:25 p.m. on Thursday night.
The Dallas County Sheriff's Department's Crimes Unit says Darren Henry Johnson, 51, was attempting to cross the highway when he was struck by an unknown 18 wheeler with a flatbed trailer. Johnson was then hit a second time by and unknown 18 wheeler with an enclosed box/van type trailer. According to authorities, neither of the 18 wheelers stopped to help the victim.
A third vehicle that struck Johnson stopped at the scene and called police.
Police say they are looking for anyone that witnessed a person on the highway in that area around that time, or has knowledge of the fatal crash, to please contact the Dallas County Sheriff's Department Vehicle Crimes Unit at (214)-589-2335 or (214)-589-2323.
