IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) - A man died on Sunday night after a shooting at a football watch party. The incident took place at around 11:30 p.m. at a home in the 2300 block of West 10th Street in Irving.

Authorities said that Domingo Camargo of Arlington was at the house party when a fight broke out and spilled into the home's front lawn. The victim ran for his car, but that vehicle was struck by gunfire.

There were at least two bullet holes in the passenger side window of Camargo's car. Other cars near the home were also damaged by the gunfire. Shattered glass still covers the road where the violence erupted.

"I personally heard about 10 gunshots. It woke my dog up. She started barking," said neighbor Roger Baxter, who lives across the street. "I have a 12-year-old daughter in the house. It's kind of close to home."

Jesse Strickland also lives across the street from where the shooting took place. "My daughter heard some fighting. She looked through the window and said, 'Daddy, they are fighting.' I come out here and the guns started firing," Strickland recalled. He dialed 911 and reported hearing about six shots. "My daughter hit the floor. It was so loud, and my house is across the street."

After being struck by bullets, the 31-year-old victim's vehicle crashed into a yard across the street from the house party, police said. Camargo was taken to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, but was later pronounced dead.

While authorities have not named a suspect in this case, they did say that the violence was not random. Camargo knew the people at the house party, and several witnesses have been interviewed. However, investigators are still working to identify the shooter.
