Man Killed In North Dallas Robbery Attempt
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- A 36-year-old man was shot and killed outside of an apartment complex in north Dallas early Wednesday morning in an apparent robbery attempt.
Dallas police say Jerry Worthy was returning home from a convenience store in the 9300 block of Skillman Street when he was approached by the suspect who demanded property. The suspect produced a handgun and shot the victim in the lower body.
Officers responded at 12:02 a.m. Worthy was transported to Baylor Medical Center where he died.
Homicide detectives are currently investigating the shooting and have not released any information on the suspect.
