Man Dies In Hickory Creek RV Fire
HICKORY CREEK (CBSDFW.COM) – One man was killed early Sunday morning after his RV went up in flames.
Denton County spokesman Tom Reedy said the fire department was called to 130 North Hook Street at about 2 a.m. and found the RV engulfed in fire.
When fire fighters entered, they found a man in his fifties or sixties dead inside. A neighbor said he tried to rescue the man and his dog, but the victim was too badly burned and gasping for air.
The neighbor said he succeeded in getting the dog out, but the man was unable to get to the door.
The victim has not been identified. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
