Man Dies; Daughter, Boyfriend Remain Jailed
A 12-year-old Garland girl and her 13-year-old boyfriend are facing another murder charge because her father died last night. Alan and Darlene Nevil were shot at their home two weeks ago. She was killed immediately but he has been under treatment at Baylor hospital in Dallas ever since. But last night, he died, meaning charges against the two teenagers will be amended. Neighbors of the familiy have said the girl is the couple's daughter, although Garland police have declined to confirm that, saying it would indirectly identify her and they don't want to do that because she's a minor. Both teenagers remain locked up in a juvenile jail.
