Man Detained Near Bush's Dallas Home

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A man who said he wanted to 'talk to the president' was detained by the Secret Service Tuesday afternoon.

The man, who has since been released, was taken into Secret Service custody after walking near the president's home in North Dallas.

The Secret Service says the man did not make any threats to the president, but simply wanted to visit.

Bush and his wife Laura were not at home at the time of the incident.

In June of 2011 a mentally ill woman reached the front yard of the home, but was detained before reaching the home.

In December of 2010 a car crashed into the gate outside of the home.  That incident was later ruled an accident.
