Man Arrested For Motel Night Manager's Murder

OAK CLIFF (CBSDFW.COM) - A suspect is in custody for the murder of a motel night manager, Ladonna Gist in Oak Cliff.
Gist was shot through the door of a motel room around 3 a.m. Witnesses said the shooter was paranoid about who was on the other side of the door.
The family of the 42-year-old victim visited the crime scene Friday afternoon where the fatal shots were fired.
"It's sad... it hurts me every time I think about it like somebody sticking me in my heart," said the victim's grandmother Lillie Faye Moturi.
The victim's grandmother said she had expressed concern to Gist about taking the night manager job because it could be dangerous.
Police haven't released the name of the suspect.
