Man Arrested After Running Onto DFW Airport Property
DFW AIRPORT (CBSDFW.COM) – A man who ran onto the Airport Operations Area at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport was arrested without incident Monday, an airport spokesman said.
Airport Public Safety officers arrested the man at about 4:38 p.m. on a vehicle roadway near approach lights for Runway 31R, airport spokesman David Magaña said. He was on foot and used an access gate near Valley View Road to gain entrance.
Although the man didn't quite make it to the runway, 31R was closed for about seven minutes as he was arrested.
"There was no impact to flight operations and no impact to the traveling public," Magaña said in a release.
The man is currently in custody and has not been identified.
