MacArthur Meets Duncanville For State Trip

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Top-ranked Irving MacArthur meets 3rd-ranked Duncanville in the girls high school basketball Class 5A Region I championship game on Saturday afternoon. At stake is a trip to the UIL State Tournament in Austin next week.

All-American Alexis Jones scored 44 points Friday night as the defending state champion Lady Cardinals of MacArthur held off Lubbock Coronado 76-62 in the first game of a regional semifinal doubleheader in Fort Worth.

Duncanville easily disposed of Amarillo 60-29 in the nightcap to set up the Saturday afternoon showdown at Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center.
