Lockbox Full Of Animal Drugs Missing In Irving

IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) - The Irving Police Department is attempting to locate a metal lockbox containing medicine belonging to Irving Animal Services.
Around 12:30 p.m. Monday an Irving Animal Services officer was in the area of Irving Heights and Union Bower on a deceased animal call. After arriving at the next stop, the officer noticed one of the compartment doors open and the lockbox missing.
It's believed to have fallen from the truck but after searching the area was not located.
The unmarked lockbox measures approximately 10" x 15" x 6" and contains Ketamine/Xylazine, a tranquilizer, Sodium Pentobarbital and a logbook.
Anyone with information on the missing lockbox is urged to contact the Irving Police Department immediately at (972) 273-1010 or 911.
If found, the box or its contents should not be tampered with due to the potential health risks associated with the misuse of the drugs.
