Lock Down Lifted At NRH Middle School, No Evidence Of Gunshots Fired

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS (CBS 11 NEWS) - A lockdown that was put in place Tuesday morning at North Richland Middle School has been lifted and authorities say there is no evidence that gun shots were not fired at that location.

The call of gunshots fired came into police at 9:58 a.m. and within a minute officers had responded to school, located in the 4800 block of Rufe Snow Drive.  The school was also immediately placed on lockdown.

Police say they did not determine what caused the sounds that triggered the 911 call, but they were confident that the original was not gunshots or anything criminal in nature.

Police set up a perimeter outside the school, searched the campus and talked to witnesses before determining students were not in danger.
