Dad, Lifeguards Save Sisters From Drowning At Neighborhood Pool

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Lifeguards performed CPR after a dad pulled his 5 and 6-year-old daughters from a Heritage neighborhood pool in Fort Worth Tuesday, according to Fort Worth Police.

MedStar said the lifeguards gave the girls CPR and both went to the hospital but are said to be in good condition.

The pool was shut down for a few hours after the two unconscious girls were pulled from the water.

Police said the girls' father was doing exactly what he should have been doing... carefully watching his girls.

He noticed they both went under and did not come back up.

He quickly pulled them out of the water, but by then, neither of them were breathing.

They started breathing again after CPR.

Police say from start to finish, this all took a matter of seconds.

Fort Worth Police Officer Jimmy Pollozani said, "I could rest assured of this, the whole incident took less than ten seconds, if that. This how quick this situation could have turned south."
