Lewisville Mom Tied Up During Home Invasion

LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Lewisville are searching for three people who broke into a family's home late on Wednesday night and tied up a mother. The incident happened just before midnight in the 600 block of Holfords Prairie Road.

According to Lt. Land of the Lewisville Police Department, three suspects – two men and a woman – knocked on the back door of the home. The mother opened the door as those three suspects forcefully entered.

The mother was then bound by her hands and her feet. One of the suspects was carrying a gun, but it was never fired.

A 5-year-old child was in the room as the mother was tied up, but that child was not bound or hurt. Another child – a 4-year-old – was sleeping in another room at the time.

According to authorities, this home invasion happened quickly. The victims said that they have no idea what the suspects could have wanted. In fact, police are still trying to figure out if anything was even taken.

The Lewisville Police Department has not had any similar incidents happen recently, so it appears that this home invasion was just an isolated event. However, officers still hope to locate these three suspects to make sure that nothing happens again.
