AUSTIN (AP) - Kubota Tractor Corp. and Kubota Credit Corp. will move their corporate headquarters from California to the Dallas area.

Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday announced the company will relocate from Torrance, California, to Grapevine. Abbott says the move will create about 345 jobs and $51 million in capital investment in Texas.

The Texas Enterprise Fund has offered a $3.8 million grant to Kubota as part of the planned move to a more central part of the U.S.

Officials say construction on Kubota's Grapevine facility will begin this year and should be completed by early 2017. The company currently has a facility in nearby Fort Worth with about 100 workers.

Kubota Tractor Corp. is a subsidiary of Kubota Corp., based in Osaka, Japan.
