KT's View From Surprise, AZ: DAY 2

Today's a big day on the show as we are having on manager Jeff Banister and the legendary Michael Young. After a rainy Monday in Surprise, the sun was shining with temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s. I laid low last night, watched Better Call Saul and had a couple beers, nothing crazy. Surprise isn't exactly a party town, unless you've got a mature fetish. What.
The first game of spring training is tomorrow, and you can hear the call with Eric Nadel and Matt Hicks right here on 105.3 The Fan. I'm officially in baseball mode. I think it's because the team was so far out of it last year, that it's made the offseason a little longer than usual.
As for the team, all i'm looking for is health. I'm not going to freak out that Elvis has a sore knee, or Derek's got shoulder soreness, or that Mitch can't run the bases. Better to be safe than sorry.
Not so bold prediction, this is the year of the Darvish. I just think it's gonna work out well for him this year. Look, he's eventually going to be a 30 million dollar per year pitcher, and quite honestly i'm not sure if it'll be in the Rangers uniform when that happens, but let's all make sure we enjoy him every 5 days when he takes the ball.

Program director Gavin Spittle again came through in the kitchen last night. We'd be starving helpless children without him on this trip. There was a pick-up basketball game at 5am this morning. I decided not to go, not because of the time of the game, but because my jumper isn't quite up to snuff.
Also, a big shout out to Jared Sandler, new team member and pre game and post game host of Rangers games this season on 105.3 The Fan. He's a hustler, and I don't mean the kind that will try to pocket pick you or try to sell you watches and shoes out of a van. He's younger than me, and I used to be the youngest guy on the station, but he's got a lot more promise than I do. Okay, enough overselling the new guy. Give him a follow on twitter, @sandlerJ, and stay tuned to a future blog when I provide you with his social security number and credit card information...I just need time to steal that wallet.
The games start tomorrow. Baseball! Whoooo! Let's gooooo! Pop Pop! More catchphrases!!! Raise the Roof! In the house!
Whoomp There it Is! That's what she said! LOL! JK! WTF! SMH! OMG!
sorry. i love you.
