Knicks PG Jason Kidd Undecided If He Will Play 2013-2014 Season
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Will Jason Kidd be a Knick next season?
Even the future Hall of Famer isn't sure what his future holds.
Kidd said on Thursday night that his "plan" is to come back for the 2013-2014 season, but he's still "thinking" about calling it quits and ending his illustrious career, the New York Post reported.
The point guard told the newspaper that he will take the next week to figure out whether he wants to continue playing or retire.
"I am thinking about it," the 40-year-old told reporters. "We'll see. I have to make a decision. We'll see what happens. Right now I plan on coming back, but in the next couple of days or a week or so, I am going to think about seeing if I should keep playing or try something different."

Kidd, who signed a three-year deal with New York on July 12 last year, still has two years and $6.2 million left on his contract.
The 10-time NBA All-Star insists that money will not factor into his decision.
"It's never been about money," Kidd said. "The game is about winning. It's not about money. If I decide I'm going to leave, the money is not going to hold me up from leaving."
The five-time All-NBA First Team selection played very well for New York before hitting a roadblock late in the season and beginning to struggle. He was especially brutal in the playoffs, setting a postseason record by failing to score in his last 10 playoff games.

"There's a lot of different stuff I may have the opportunity to do," Kidd said. "If I play, I plan on playing for the Knicks. I got to be honest with myself. I'm a young man. (But) I got to see if I could still mentally do the grind all over again."
The veteran didn't play in the second halves of the final two games of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Pacers, but he maintains that he understood Mike Woodson's decision to sit him for the hotter hand.
"You got to go with the guys who are playing," Kidd said. "(Chris Copeland) and Pablo (Prigioni) were playing great. You got to go with guys the coach believes will get it done."
In the regular season, Kidd averaged 6.0 points, 3.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 26.9 minutes per game. He started in 48 of the 76 contests he appeared in.
