Kinky Friedman Not Ruling Out Governor Run
DALLAS (AP) - Musician and humorist Kinky Friedman says he isn't ruling out another run for governor in 2014.
He said during his Saturday night show at a Dallas pub, "Everything is on the table."
The Dallas Morning News reports that Friedman is currently in the middle of his Bi-Polar World Tour, and will be making stops next month in Europe.
Friedman ran an independent campaign for governor of Texas in 2006 and ran for the Democratic nomination for Texas Agriculture Commissioner in 2010. He lost both races.
Rick Perry has been governor of Texas since 2000.
Kinky says he's made out his will, adding, "I'm gonna be cremated and I want my ashes spread on Rick Perry's hair."
