Killer of Collin County Real Estate Agent Gets Execution Date

HUNTSVILLE (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — A North Carolina parolee on Texas death row for the slaying 10 years ago of a McKinney real estate agent has received an execution date.
Texas Department of Criminal Justice spokesman Jason Clark says the prison agency has received notice that a judge in Collin County has set 36-year-old Kosoul Chanthakoummane for lethal injection on January 25. The U.S. Supreme Court this week refused an appeal from him.
He'd served time in North Carolina for aggravated kidnapping and robbery and was paroled to Dallas to live with relatives. Chanthakoummane was arrested for the death of real estate agent Sarah Walker. The 40-year-old woman's body was found in a model home by a couple house-hunting. Her nose and two teeth were broken and she'd been stabbed dozens of times.
