Last Two Suspected Kidnappers In Custody

DOUBLE OAK (CBSDFW.com) - The last two people wanted in connection with the kidnapping of a woman from Double Oak have been taken into custody.

Eileen Loskot was allegedly kidnapped early Thursday morning but was found alive and unharmed in the Texas Panhandle.

Early Friday afternoon it was confirmed that Nathaniel Williams, 17, and Edward Muckelroy, Jr., 19, both turned themselves in to the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Albuquerque, N.M., Friday morning.

Loskot was driving home to Double Oak at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday. She'd gotten to within about six blocks from her home when a car struck her from behind.

As the 54-year-old woman left a voicemail for her husband, telling him about the wreck, officers say three men rushed her car and forced their way inside.  The scuffle with the men, demanding that she hand over her debit and credit cards, could be heard on the voicemail message, according to police.

Her husband didn't hear the message until later Thursday morning when he realized his wife had not made it home.

Shortly after the alleged abduction, a Double Oak police officer wrote a traffic ticket to a man driving a blue Toyota, who later turned out to be a suspect in the crime.  At the time of the ticket, however, the officer had no way of knowing about the alleged abduction.

Two of the men forced Loskot to drive to an ATM in Cedar Hill, about 50 miles from Double Oak.  Just before 3 a.m. they forced her to withdraw several hundred dollars in cash.

The ATM's surveillance camera shows Loskot at the machine, and an unidentified person can be seen in the passenger seat.

Late Thursday night, the Texas Rangers notified local police that Loskot had been found in Vega, Texas, near the New Mexico border.

The Rangers said the suspects had driven Loskot to New Mexico, where they released her. Authorities said Thursday that Loskot had spent at least 14 hours in the trunk of her kidnapper's vehicle.

"She was released by her captors and was unharmed. We are happy with the outcome," said Double Oak Police Chief Derrick Watson.

The suspects left Loskot with her own car. She hurriedly crossed the Texas state line, at which point Highway Patrol officers saw the car and took charge. She was reunited with her husband in Amarillo Thursday morning. Authorities said one of the suspect's cousins alerted police to the kidnapping after he was told about it.

During the day, police tracked the driver of the blue Toyota to a Dallas address.  After Loskot was located in the Panhandle, police used the information about the Toyota's driver to find and arrest him.

23-year-old Matthew Aaron Casaus, seen above, is behind bars and charged with aggravated kidnapping.  Double Oak police say Casaus confessed to his role in the kidnapping and is currently being held without bond.

Officials in North Texas are in the process of requesting that Williams and Muckelroy Jr. be extradited back to the state.
