Kidd's Kids Enjoy VIP Send-Off To Disney World

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – For the 24th year in a row "Kidd's Kids" is sending children battling a wide variety of ailments on the trip of a life time.

The program, which was founded by late and legendary radio personality Kidd Kraddick, is teaming up with Southwest Airlines to send 50 special needs children to Disney World in Orlando.

"I don't have to go to school. I just get to play," said 7-year-old Ethan Robertson, who lost both of his legs from a rare medical condition.

"This was Kidd's Dream for this trip to live on for years and years to come," said Big Al from the Kidd Kraddick morning show.

For many of the families this is their first trip ever to Disney World. Through fundraising and donations the organizers have managed to offer the entire trip at no costs to those families invited to participate.

Britney Brown is Ethan's mother and said "It's just an awesome experience to be able to go out and have fun."

Each family walked down a red carpet for a "Walk of Fame" send-off prior to boarding the plane. Once aboard, crew members wearing Disney apparel greeted them and took them all on a trip they won't soon forget.
