Kickin' Ice With Brenden Morrow
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Welcome to my official 105.3 The Fan blog! I've never done this, so bear with me.
It's been tough lately since I've been out with injury but I hope to be back on the ice very soon. Big win by the boys in Montreal on Tuesday! Wish I could have been there for Ribeiro's first game back in Montreal. He made the most of it with a First Star of the Game performance. Time to get another win in Chicago and start stringing some wins together.
So how did I end up doing a blog here? Last week I came out to the CBS Radio Studios off Central Expressway and got the grand tour. I got a chance to chat with Mark Elfenbein and some of the top brass. It was interesting to see the lay of the land where they work (and play) on a daily basis. I've been to The Fan Lounge next to AAC before and that's another great spot. It is exciting to see how much the station has grown over the last few years.
The PR guys at the Stars came to me and asked if I would be interested in partnering with 105.3 The Fan – do some stuff on the air, maybe a weekly show, connect with the fans, etc. Of course I was interested. All of my teammates are working with our new management at the team to promote the Stars and get us back out there.
From what I saw from Elf and his crew last week, they were also very interested. You won't find a better guy than Elf and I am looking forward to chatting with him weekly about who knows what. Sure, we'll be talking about hockey and the Stars but all topics are on the table.
