Khloe Reveals Fears (Getting Naked Isn't One Of Them)
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The fourth day of Khloe Kardashian's radio show continued the parade of reality TV stars that started Monday and has included Kyle Richards, Chris Harrison and Khloe's brother, Rob Kardashian. Thursday's celebrity guest was Tabatha Coffey from the Bravo network show "Tabatha Takes Over," formerly "Tabatha's Salon Takeover."
The series – which just kicked off its fourth season -- follows salon owner Tabatha (once a contestant on Bravo's "Shear Genius") as she helps struggling business owners get back on their feet. Previously, Tabatha only helped fellow salon owners, but she has expanded to assisting in all trades.
"It's been really exciting to walk into other businesses and help them," Tabatha told Khloe on Thursday. When asked how her skills as a salon owner have translated to these other places like bars and nightclubs, Tabatha said, "I do believe that business is business."
"You kind of scare me," Khloe admitted about Tabatha's honest approach on the show. "I love that you scare me, because no one really scares me."
"It's tough love," Tabatha said. "I do it in a vein to help people."
Get ready for more reality stars on Friday, when Khloe's half-sisters Kendall and Kylie call in for an interview. In the March issue of Teen Vogue, Khloe says that she is very involved in their lives. "Kendall and Kylie are like my babies," Khloe said.
Khloe recently moved to North Texas when basketball player husband Lamar Odom was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks. She (and her family) can be seen in several reality shows on the E! Network. Khloe hosts "The Mix Up" on Mix 102.9 in Dallas, an hour-long radio show featuring celebrity interviews and questions from callers.
Thursday's first caller asked about the camera crew that follows Khloe around town as a part of her reality television show. Does she ever get a break? "No," Khloe said. "They are actually here right now!"
But it's not all that bad. "They're really like my only friends," Khloe said. "They've seen me naked." Lamar, on the other hand, does not understand how she and her family can be so comfortable around the crew. "It's harder for him because he's not used to it."
"They're kind of like our family. They're with you seven days a week for months on end, 20 hours a day," Khloe said. "I forget that they're even around." (Speaking of family that was and was not around, Thursday marked the first day that Khloe's mother, Kris Jenner, was not in the studio.)
The day's second caller asked Khloe about writing an inspirational book for her fans. "It's a lot of pressure," she said about writing a book. "It's scary." Khloe has written two books with her sisters – the family memoir "Kardashian Konfidential" and the novel "Dollhouse."
"When people say that I'm an inspiration, or they look up to me, or I'm a role model, that is so flattering," Khloe said, noting that she is criticized for a lot as a celebrity. "I really try to be an advocate for people that go through all those struggles."
