Khloe Kardashian Koming To Kowboy Kountry

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The sports world went wild this past weekend after the Los Angeles Lakers traded Lamar Odom to the Dallas Mavericks. Odom helped the Lakers win two championships and was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year last season.

But there's a whole other story here that has the entertainment world talking. The trade is going to bring more than a star basketball player to Big D. That's right, Dallas is getting its very own Kardashian.

Khloe Kardashian – she's the third sister in the family – married Odom in 2009. The couple has been featured in the vast array of Kardashian-related programming that infected the E! network starting in 2007. Odom has been most notably featured on "Khloe & Lamar," a whole series that follows the couple's misadventures. The program launched earlier this year.

Khloe has been very active on Twitter – as usual – to discuss the news with more than five million followers. At times she has expressed apprehension about the move, but she has mostly shared glad words and smiley emoticons. "We are all sad but positive energy gets you farther then negative," Khloe tweeted.

Since that tweet, Khloe picked up her attitude a little bit and put her trust in God. "I know for a fact blessings are everywhere!!! Everything happens for a reason. God is great," the Kardashian sister said. "I have no doubt about it! I am excited."

Khloe even denied rumors that she somehow caused the trade to take place.

Meanwhile, Odom has not commented on the trade news. Former teammate Kobe Bryant on the other hand has expressed his total disappointment. "To be honest with you, I don't like it," he said. "It's tough to lose Lamar."

The second season of "Khloe & Lamar" is currently in production, so viewers will likely be given the chance to see the couple's reactions to the trade, and their impending move to Dallas, unfold in front of cameras. Then, look for Kardashian-hunting paparazzi to invade the streets of Dallas, as the show will likely continue shooting in North Texas.

It has been rumored that Odom and Kardashian (ages 32 and 27, respectively) are trying to have a child, so Dallas could be an important chapter in the couple's life together.

It is not yet known how the move to Dallas will impact "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," the family's original reality show that is based in Los Angeles. Khloe did promise a Twitter fan that she would be traveling back and forth between her two home cities, but the show has also had spinoffs set in New York and Miami.

And there could be a 'special episode' that sends the entire K-obsessed Kardashian gaggle to Texas on vacation. Brace yourself for the storm, Dallas.
