Kaufman Co. Remodeling & Roofing Contractor Arrested
FORNEY (CBSDFW.COM) - Sheriffs in Kaufman County arrested a man they scammed money for roofing and contractor repairs.
According to sheriffs, in August 2011 a couple in Terrell hired Quinton Remodeling and Roofing (QRR) to do a substantial job at their home.
The couple paid contractor Danny Bryan Quinton Jr. more than $18,000 in advance.
After several weeks of unanswered messages and no work being done at their home, the couple contacted the Kaufman County Sheriffs Office.
An investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for Quinton in November 2011, but authorities couldn't locate the 36-year-old.
On January 11 sheriffs saw Quinton driving down a street in Forney, stopped his vehicle and took him in to custody without incident.
Quinton was charged with Organized Retail Theft and released on a $10,000 the same day.
