K.T. Turner Hired To Larry Brown's SMU Staff
DALLAS (AP) - K.T. Turner has been named an assistant coach at SMU on Larry Brown's staff.
The Mustangs announced Turner's hiring Friday.
Turner spent last season as an assistant on Gregg Marshall's staff at Wichita State, which advanced to the NCAA Final Four.
Before his only season at Wichita State, Turner worked one season as an assistant at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, serving as the program's primary recruiter. He was an assistant for two seasons at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas before that.
Jerrance Howard, one of Brown's top recruiters, left in May to become an assistant for Bill Self at Kansas. Howard played for Illinois from 2001-04, when Self was the Illini's coach.
